SAPAC presents: SOUTH ASIANS OF THE HILL IS BACK (feat. the Tufts Observer)

  • Tufts University The Green Medford, MA, 02155 United States

Last April, SAPAC launched South Asians of the Hill, a photo campaign celebrating South Asian identity, history, struggles, and triumphs here at Tufts. Inspired by Humans of New York, South Asians of the Hill became a way for us to shed light on conversations, commonalities, and differences that often go unnoticed.

Our portraits reached thousands of people both within and without the Tufts community and began sparking dialogue on the complexity of South Asian identity. It is our great pleasure to announce the RETURN OF SOUTH ASIANS OF THE HILL this SATURDAY, APRIL 18!

This year, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with the Tufts Observer! While we will continue to post all portraits to our Facebook page and website, a select few will be featured in the Observer’s upcoming “Borders”-themed issue.

Any member of the Tufts community—student, faculty, or staff—is welcome to join us for our second annual photoshoot. As with last year, we encourage you to wear South Asian clothes (but of course this is not mandatory).
